Naitasiri awaits Health Ministry's call

Naitasiri players and officials are awating word from Health Ministry about measures to take following the government's announcement of a lockdown in Nadi and Lautoka areas.

The Highlanders had traveled to Nadi on Saturday for the Inkk Farebrother Challenge.

Team manager Maciu Koroiqaqa said their players were not vaccinated but straight after the match they had returned home on Saturday evening.

“Our players and officials returned after the match with families and spectators who went to Nadi. It’s true that our players have not been vaccinated but we  have contacted the Ministry of Health and we are waiting for them.”

“The Ministry will advise us if they will be testing our players and officials and when will the testing be done. As far as we know, our players did not mingle around anywhere."

Koroiqaqa also said the players did not contact any outsider apart from their families who also returned the same evening.
