Fiji FA rolls out assistance to senior division teams

The Fiji Football Association started to assist the senior division footballers with Food Ration who have been affected by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

The distribution started in Suva today with members of the Nasinu and Lami men’s and women’s receiving food packs and will be followed by the rest of the teams in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

Fiji FA Vice President Jitendra Reddy led the distribution said this initiative was brought up by the President Rajesh Patel and the Board.

“During this second wave of the pandemic, our President together with the board members decided to assist all footballers whose livelihood were dependent on football and also those who players whose jobs were affected.”

Reddy also emphasized on the importance of having vaccinated.

“Fiji FA has also got a no jab no play policy where it will be compulsory for all players, officials, referees, staff and everyone involved in football to be vaccinated.”

“Remember, we are not forcing anyone. If you want to play, you have to vaccinate,” Reddy added.  

Nasinu Football Association President O’Neil Chand acknowledged Fiji FA for its generosity.
