Cakau eyed for Sri Lanka 7s job

Former Fiji Captain Setefano Cakau is eyed to take up the Sri Lankan 7s head coach's job.

The 42-year-old Namosi native is no stranger to Sri Lankan rugby having both played and coached club rugby in the country.

Cakau together with former Fiji 7s reps Apisai Naqaliva, Sanivalati Ramuwai, Pio Tuwai, Samu Saqiwa and Joeli Lutumailagi had a stint with the Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club in 2014 and 2015 and also coached the side briefly.

Former England great Ben Gollings is also in contention for the top job.
