GB wins women's series title

Great Britain claimed the 2021 World Sevens Women's Series in Edmonton today after back to back wins.

The Megan Jones captained side maintained their fine from Vancouver and defeated the USA 22-5 in the final.

Jasmine Joyce scored a double to give Great Britain a 10-0 halftime lead.

Joyce completed her hat-trick in the second half before the USA hit back with a try to Jez Grey.

Veteran Wilson Hardy scored the final try of the match just before the final hooter to ensure Great Britain returned home with both the tournament and the series titles.
