Kikau needs to be involved more: Cronk

Four times NRL Premiership winner and current Fox League commentator Cooper Cronk says Viliame Kikau is one of the most physically intimidating players in the game and  he needs to be involved with 10 plus carries.

Cronk who called the Penrith Panthers match against the Parramatta Eels on Saturday said if Kikau is heavily involved then can be break the line a couple of times and do all the damage.

He flagged Kikau’s introduction from the bench as being one of the dynamics to change the game after a flat performance against Souths.

“He needs a reaction in this game,” Cronk said.

“He’s obviously got the contract talks that shouldn’t be in the headlines.”

“He needs to come off the bench after 20-25 minutes and go after the contest.”

"When Kikau came on he was all over the place. He offloaded when he didn’t need to and made rash errors and should probably have been penalised.

Kikau went off for treatment in the second half and did not return but his performance of just three runs for 18m impressed the commentary team.
