National team to focus on S&C

Digicel  National Head Caoch Flemming Serritslev says there's a huge need for players to undergo intense strength and conditioning  when they return to camp.

Flemming told FijiLive that players haven’t played football for the past six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic and fitness will be an issue.

“Our first job will be strength and conditioning because that’s one of the most important areas of soccer. The boys have been out of field for nearly six months and we need to get them back in their form and shape.”

“They are doing personal training at home but the level of training we will have in camp is really going to be different from the ones they do at home.”

He also mentioned that the resumption of the Digicel Premier League would enable him to continue his search for more young players to join the national team.
