South Africa wins Vancouver 7s

South Africa claimed the 2021 Vancouver 7s title at the B.C Place today after thumping Kenya 38-5 in the final.

Minor errors from Kenya saw South Africa’s hidden weapon Angelo Davids pick up a loose ball and score back to back tries while Dewale Human converted once.

Minutes before the break, Olympian Sakoyisa Makata and prop Christoffel Grobbelaar scored two tries while Human converted once and extended South Africa’s lead by 24-0.

South Africa maintained its dominance in the second half and Ronald Brown added another try while Human converted.

Daniel Taabu scored Kenya's only try before replacement Darren Adonis scored another for the Blitzboks to wrap up the big win.
