Suva winger joins Israeli club

Suva winger Misaele Petero has joined Israeli professional club Tel Aviv Heat.

He will join fellow teammates Nemani Builruarua and Israel Azariah together with 2016 Olympic gold medalist Jasa Veremalua at the club.

The 25-year-old Nakavika native from Namosi  was a sensation for Suva and starred in their back to back Skipper Cup wins in 2019 and 2020.

“With this being my first overseas contract and especially to be part of the Tel Aviv team I am beyond excited."

I cannot wait to show my full  commitment to the team on the field. I love to give the best of my ability when I play rugby and I am determined to help the team achieve its goals," he said.
