Dunn has been very impressive: Serritslev

Uprising star Thomas Dunn has impressed Digicel National Football Head Coach Flemming Serritslev during the recent camp at the Ba Academy Ground.

Serritslev told FijiLive that Dunn is developing really fast and is an added advantage in the national camp.

He said Dunn has the fast learning capability and has been adapting well with the new and senior players in the training.

“A player like Thomas Dun-he is developing really fast.”

“He is a fast learner and understands the team training that we did in the camp.”

“He has a lot of talents, skills and qualities in him which is the reason why he got selected in the training camp.”

“Being young makes Thomas take advantage of the trainings that we do. I have seen him utilise the skills and knowledge in the match against Nadroga on Sunday. He displayed all the training we did in the camp against Nadroga.”

He said the midfielder created impact in the game and is a progressing asset to the national camp.

“He is very young and not all players at his age can do what he can in the football arena.”

“He has the right talent but sometimes the minor error that comes from his end puts his performance down.”

“He was good against Nadroga, gave in his best and also put pressure. I saw him do a lot of fancy football skills and also have the right speed and attacking skills.”

"I want to see him continue his hard work and stay determined in his school and football career. I spoke to him and he told me how passionate he is about football. But I'm really pleased with his performance," he explained.

The 18-year old is a year 13 student of VashistMuni College and he began his soccer career playing for the Navua under 17 team in 2018, under 19 in 2019 and attracted the eyes of the main Navua team and earned a spot in the national main and under 19 side last year.
