Lami overcomes strong Navua to maintain lead

Lami futsal had to come from behind to defeat a strong Navua outfit by 4-3 in round 10 of the National Southern Futsal League at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva today. 

Lami made an own goal through Crafty midfielder Jasnit Vikash in the opening minute of the match which gave Navua advantage.

Navua added their first goal of the match through Shalvindra Nath but Nikil Chand helped Lami pull a goal.

Navua trailed by 2-1 at the breather.

Minor errors by Lami saw Navua maintain their lead with a goal through experienced Alfred Ali but midfielder Ravneel Pal slotted a smooth kick to pull Lami their second goal.

It was in the last few minutes of the match when nippy Chand and defender Mashooq Illiyaz saved Lami.

Lami maintains their lead in the Southern zone futsal league by 20 points.
