Fitness, combination was a let down: Toma

Newly appointed Nadi Head Coach Viliame Toma says lack of fitness and combination led to their three consecutive losses in recent Digicel Premier League matches.
Toma was present at the three matches and pointed out that players lacked fitness and the team did not have a good combination.
He said the side could have won the three games had the players executed the game plan well.
He also explained the importance of having a better fitness level in the remaining matches of the DPL.
"I saw the games and I feel the players hugely lacked fitness level."
"Fitness was an important factor in their three losses."
"I saw players looked tired in the early 20 minutes of the match and that was really upsetting."
"I feel there is a huge need to improve the way players are training.”
"I began with the team’s training last week and worked on the important aspects like speed, passing and fitness."
"The players were divided into small groups and given team activities which they performed really well."
"It was their winning game but they lost because they did not have the right combination and did not execute the game plan well on time."
"“We had a team talk and I told the players that if they don't improve the fitness level now then we won’t be able to win the remaining games."
"Those three games will be tough for us and so we need to get our combination right. We can’t repeat the same mistakes all the time."
"The boys have been reflecting on their past performances and we mapped out a new game plan which we are currently working on during the training and we plan to execute it in the next match."
Easy Kool Nadi will face Labasa in the next round of DPL this week.
