New 7s Coach by month end

Fiji Rugby is expected to announce the successful applicant for the 7s men’s head coach position by the end of this month.

FRU chief executive John O’Connor said the applications closed on 17 November and they are in the process of shortlisting and interviewing the applicants.

He said they received a good number of applications from local and overseas applicants.

It is believed that interim coach Saiasi Fuli and 7s maestro Waisale Serevi are among those who applied for the top position.

The position became vacant after Olympic gold medal winning coach Gareth Baber opted not to continue and his term officially ends on 30 November.
