Labasa beats Navua, remains unbeaten

Labasa remains unbeaten in the Digicel Premier League after defeating Navua 2-1 in their Round 12 fixture at the ANZ Stadium in Suva tonight.

Veteran midfielder Taniela Waqa displayed a man of the match performance and guided the new-look Babasiga Lions well.

He set up the first goal in the 12th minute through a free-kick which was headed in by striker Siotame Kubu.

Labasa led 1-0 at halftime and Waqa netted the second goal in the 59th minute with a brilliant free-kick from outside the box which gave young Navua goalie Jayshneel Sivan no chance at all.

Navua got a consolation goal late in the match through replacement Alfred Ali.
