Navua not underestimating any team

The Navua football team will go in as underdogs in the 2022 Digicel Premier League this year after a tough survival in the league last year.
Team President Rajeev Prasad said with 10 teams in the league this year, they will not take any team lightly and will need to be very careful on the pitch.
"Now that Nasinu and Tailevu Naitasiri in league, there will be a huge competition as every team will be vying for top spots."
"We will be meeting Tailevu Naitasiri after six years and we know that they will try to defeat us and likewise for Nasinu they will be back in business after a year."
"Nasinu will obviously try to take revenge from us because in 2020, we survived and they lost in the bottom of the table clash."
"Navua will have to play smart and fast football and maintain good composure on the field. We can’t afford to keep making mistakes which we know would cost us a lot."
Prasad said they will have to improve their midfield and be quick in the passes.
"The boys will be back in the training from next week and work on areas that need improvement. Our performance was 50-50 last year and this year we have to improve on a lot of things."
"Sometimes the boys get too excited and forget to score goals so that's another thing we have to work on. Our midfield was very weak which saw our ball play very slow."
"It's a one-on-one situation where we want players to stop the ball, run with it and pass it to the strikers to finish the play."
The Digicel Premier League competition is expected to commence next month.
