OFC funding to assist premier districts

Fiji Football Association President Rajesh Patel has announced that Premier Division districts will be assisted by funding set aside for them during the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patel said Oceania Football Confederation has made available some funds which will be given to the districts as their revenues will be vastly affected with no spectators attending football matches due to current restrictions.

He said districts will have to apply for funding and more details will be released to the respective team executives.

Meanwhile, the 2022 season will kick off with the Digicel Premier League in the first weekend of February.
