Raka dots in Clermont's win

Fiji-born winger Alivereti Raka scored a crucial try in Clermont's narrow 25-19 win against Sale in Heineken Champions Cup today.
Sale shed the first blood in the fifth minute of the match with a try from Jean-Luc du Preez, who went over from short range to touch down .
The try saw Clermont wake up and Fritz Lee found a gaping hole in Sale's defence to score, with Camille Lopez's conversion putting Clermont ahead.
It was Damian Penaud, who sped through the midfield to break up the wall of blue, offloading to Alivereti Raka for a try in the right corner and extending Clermont’s lead.
Momentum swung back as Tom Curry stole a line-out and Tom Roebuck won a race to the ball to slide across the line and Rob du Preez's kick levelled things at 12-12.
Sale's forwards dominated the battle by the try-line when Bevan Rodd managed to scramble over for a try but Clermont had the last word in the first half as Penaud gathered to score for 19-all at break.
Both teams tussled hard in the second half but Sale's indiscipline proved the difference as Clermont's scrum-half claimed six points in the last 12 minutes.
