Rewa futsal bank on Solomon trio

Extra Supermarket Rewa Futsal feature Solomon Islands trio Charlie Benjamin, Solomon national futsal reps Ricardo Vatia and Gibson Hiulaungia during the 2021 Digicel Futsal IDC.

Rewa futsal team manager Peter Singh said the trio come with huge futsal experience as they have played for the Solomon national team.

He said the three players have well-adjusted to the environment and will add a huge impact in the team.

"They are really good players and Charlie has played in Fiji with Rewa but the other two- it’s going to be their first time."

"They have been training with us for the past two weeks and we saw a lot of potential, qualities and capabilities in them."

"Rewa futsal is on a mission like other teams and that is to win the title. We have set our sights on the trophy and we want to win it."

"We have always reached the semi-final stages but now we shift our focus to the final. It will be a tough competition but we anticipate some upsets and at the same time work towards our target."

The side will miss the services of Tevita Waranivalu and Setareki Hughes who are currently in the national football team camp in Ba.

Rewa futsal will take on Lami futsal in their first pool match at 8pm at the Vodafone Arena in Suva today.
