The Ba football side has kept its hope alive to win the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT after 11 years despite their opening loss to defending champs Suva by 1-nil on Sunday.
Head Coach Imdad Ali said they will have to uplift their performance in the remaining four
The backline played really well but we had misses up front. They did not utilise the ball and missed so many golden opportunities.
It was a pressure game and I suppose we need to lift our standards to resist that pressure.
I think we just have to train hard and not just train physically but train on how we will play the remaining matches.
We were slow and that's not what we want to display at Lawaqa Park. We are a champion team and we need to show that champion performance because losing one game is a big thing for us now.
The players still have the winning spirit in them and they are aware that we don’t have much time because we will be playing three-day straight.
All teams are tough and will aim to defeat us but we will do our best and put up some better finishes.
Football is about scoring and if you don’t score you don’t win as we have seen we missed a lot of opportunities in the game.
RC Manubhai sponsored Ba will take on Cambridge Farms Nadroga at 6.30pm at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park on Friday.
