Former National and Ba striker Abbu Zahid is eager to win his first title with Rewa and lift the Digicel Fiji FACT trophy after 12 years.
Zahid last won the tournament with Ba in 2010 when the Men in Black defeated Navua 1-0 in the final via an Avinesh Suwamy goal in the 49th minute.
The 31-year-old Police officer who is Rewa's top scorer in the Digicel Premier League aims to maintain his good form and bring smiles on the faces of Delta Tigers' fans when the dust settles at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
"It's been a long time. I mean a really long time for me to win Fiji FACT."
"I last won with Ba in 2010 and since then I haven’t won the tournament."
"There's a different joy of winning the tournament."
"When I joined Rewa, I told myself that I really want to win Fiji FACT with this team."
"I want to keep scoring goals and like every player; I have also set some personal targets. I want to stay humble and keep scoring goals."
"My teammates, officials, my wife and family are also boosting me to give my best. Also my wife is my biggest encouragement and she keeps motivating me to reflect on my past performance and learn from my mistakes," he added.
Rewa will open its campaign in the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT against NZ Fan Base Labasa at 5pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.
