Mateisuva ready for FACT debut with Whites

National goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva says he is ready to make his Fiji FACT debut with champions Suva and is aiming to give his best in the tournament.

The 30-year-old who represented his home district Labasa for more than decade told FijiLive joining the Whites has been a major boost to his career.

“Playing for Suva is one of the great opportunities of my football career."

“Playing alongside with some of the players that I played together in the Labasa team and also in the Fiji team really helps me alot in jeling with the team.”

The Police officer from Ketei Village on Totoya Island in the Lau Group said he is raring to go ahead of this weekend’s opening bruiser against the traditional giants of Fijian football Ba.

“I am ready for the tournament, we have some interesting groups, and matches, but it will come down to how best all teams have prepared.”

Ram's Cleaning Services Suva will take on Ba at 3pm on Sunday at the ANZ Stadium.
