Afonja saves Nadroga at home

Nigerian striker Jibola Afonja scored a late equaliser as Nadroga played to a 1-1 draw against Navua in their Round 10 Digicel Premier League clash at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Thursday.

The first half was a tighty contested affair where both teams failed to capitalise on their scoring opportunities.

Navua's Brian Charitar scored first midway in the second spell before Afonja got the much needed leveler for the hosts.

Nadroga remains seventh with 10 points while Navua has jumped to the eighth spot and now has 8 points.

Both teams will return to action on Sunday for their second matches of the week where the Stallions will host Nadi and Navua will come up against champions Lautoka at the Uprising Sports Centre.
