Attitude defines who you are: Fekitoa

Tongan enforcer Malakai Fekitoa says being a rugby player is not rated on what you do on the field but also your attitude off the field.

The veteran was a standout during the team's first training session at Albert Park today.

"For me it is about showing the way and leading by example with things I do off the field, whether it is recovery or in training, I jist try to guide them, Fekitoa told FijiLive.

For the 30-year-old 24 times capped former All Black, Fekitoa said he is honoured to represent his country.

"It is a great honour to wear the colours and represent my country."

Fekitoa said for the Pacific Nations Cup, Tonga is ready to push themselves.

"We have only been together for a week, so we really want to test ourselves because there is still alot to learn."

Fekitoa added he is looking forward to taking in the sights and sounds of Fiji while he's here.

Tonga opens its campaign against hosts, the Vodafone Flying Fijians at 3.30pm on Saturday at the HFC Bank National Stadium.
