Big T dropped from Flying Fijians squad

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua forward Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta's Flying Fijians dream has been put on hold.

Cirikidaveta has returned to New Zealand due to health issues and will not be part of Fiji's Pacific Nations Cup campaign.

“Big T has had to leave due to some health issues, he has gone back to New Zealand to undergo some more tests,”Coach Vern Cotter said.

Brive Rugby player Kitione Kamikamica has replaced Cirikidaveta in the Flying Fijians pack and will start of the bench against Tonga for the Pacific Nations Cup opener on Saturday.

“Kiti was with us two years ago in New Zealand against the All Blacks, and has come back from a knee injury.

“He’s turned up and is in good form," Cotter added.
