Drua players free to play in local comps

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players can now play in the Skipper Cup and other domestic competitions.

Fiji Rugby Union Operations Manager Sale Saravaki confirmed to FijiLive that players have been given the greenlight to play after successfully completing a one month rest period following a torrid Super Rugby Pacific season.

"They are allowed to compete in domestic competitions such as the Skipper Cup, provided that respective unions write to the Fijian Drua management regarding the availability of players.

He said with 16 Drua players in the Vodafone Flying Fijians Pacific Nations Cup squad, the remaining local players are free to seek game-time in local competitions.
