Fiji second largest exporter to Top14

Fiji is now the second largest exporter of rugby players to the Top 14 competition in France.

The number of homegrown Fijians who played now compete in the French Top 14 this season increased up to 41 from 32 last season.

New Zealand tops the table with a total of 43 players, Fiji in second with 41 and South Africa in third with 33 players.

"France has been good to us, our players have been able to succeed on and off the field," said Fiji Rugby General Manager High-Performance Unit Simon Raiwalui in a post on social media.

"More importantly, most return to play for the Flying Fijians as more developed players.
Drua is the priority but there are limited places and the Top14 will continue to be very important to us."
