Folau, Fekitoa and Piutau to start for Tonga

Headliners Israel Folau, Malakai Fekitoa and Charles Piutau have all been named in Tonga's starting line-up for their Pacific Nations Cup opener against the Vodafone Flying Fijians on Saturday.

The explosive trio are among 11 players that will make their debut for the Ikale Tahi.

Shoring up a powerful backline, Fekitoa slots in at inside centre, Folau at openside wing and Piutau at fullback.

Fekitoa said it is a humbling experience to come back and play for Tonga and that alongside Folau and Piutau, they look to empower their more younger players.

"It will be an awesome experience to play for my country and I am ready to do them proud," Fekitoa told FijiLive.

"We plan on teaching these future stars of the nation all we and all the learnings possible."

"We know taking Fiji on at home won't be easy and we are up for the challenge."

The Fiji vs Tonga clash kicks off at 3.30pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
