Uru determined to play in World Cup

Fiji-born lanky Queensland Reds forward Seru Uru is determined to don a Wallabies jumper at next year's Rugby World Cup in France.

The giant dreadlocked warrior from Namoli village impressed on the flanks for the Reds during Super Rugby Pacific and his fine form got him selected in Australia A squad for the Pacific Nations Cup in Fiji.

"It's a big chance and it was always my dream to move to Australia and play competitive rugby," Uru tolld FijiLive.

"It's also special for me to come back to Fiji in the Australia A team and play infront of my countrymen."

The former Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute and Ratu Kadavulevu School student said with the World Cup around the corner, there is no time to rest and he is pushing himself to level up.

"It isn't easy, but I set targets for myself everyday, and I know I have to sacrifice and work hard even more."

"It will definitely be tough, but that also adds to the excitement of it all."

The uncapped Wallaby added he is looking forward to clashing with Fiji, Tonga and Samoa during the PNC.

"It's going to be brutal, and I cant wait to get things started."
