Tonga Coach Kini Fotu says the 36-0 loss to champions Fiji in their opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup was disappointing and he will be making wholesome changes for the next game.
He said they are taking the PNC as a build-up for next year's Rugby World Cup.
"Obviously in terms of the results, it was very disappointing." "But our mind-set around this whole tournament is just to build combinations, connections." "We're gonna rotate the squad." "We've always said that if a by-product is winning, it would have been great to win or be maybe a little bit more competitive, but from a result standpoint yet, pretty disappointing." "There's a lot of things, connection between the backs and the forwards." "We're still trying to implement a game plan." "So, well, the turnovers today was extremely poor." "There was 20 turnovers for the whole game, or 12 in the first half," he said. Tonga plays Samoa next week at Churchill Park in Lautoka. By Romeka Romena
