Macuata, Yasawa book spot in Skipper Cup

Yasawa and Macuata have secured their spots in the 2023 Skipper Cup after winning their respective semifinals of the Vodafone Vanua Championship in Labasa today.

Cheered on by ardent fans at Subrail Park, Macuata proved the better side beating Ba in a thriller 19-14.

Yasawa also fought to the wire to beat Bua 21-20 and return to the Skipper Cup competition after being relegated in 2019.

The Vodafone Vanua Championship final will be held next week with the venue to be confirmed.
