Vatunisolo claims CG bronze

Team Fiji flagbearer Naibili Vatunisolo finished third to claim the bronze medal in the Women’s Discus Throw F42-44/ 61-64 at the Commonwealth Games today.

Vatunisolo’s top finish ensured Fiji a fourth medal.

After two throws, Vatunisolo threw a distance of 23.71 metres in her final attempt.

Nigeria’s Goodness Nwachukwu won gold with a distance of 36.56m with Australia’s Sarah Edminston claiming the silver medal with a throw of 34.96m.

This is Vatunisolo’s second medal performance this year after claiming gold for the Women’s Ambulant Ambulatory Shot Put at the Mini Pacific Games.
