We made life tough for Tonga, says Cotter

Vodafone Flying Fijians Head Coach Vern Cotter says the ruthless performance of his players made life difficult for Tonga  in their 36-0 Pacific Nations Cup win in Suva today.

Cotter in the post match conference said he spoke to Tongan players after the game and they stated that they struggled to match the Fijians.

"Well, first of all the objective was to win so we're happy with the win."

"And I think we got five points so that's important moving forward."

"If we look at the content of the game, we will be disappointed with ourselves at times."

"We made the game difficult."

"But in saying that there was probably more good than bad, and the intention was to play well from the start to finish but it wasn't perfect that I really felt that the desire was there to do well."

"And I spoke to the Tongan boys and they found the game very difficult. So there's something for us to work on and improve for next week."

The Flying Fijians will face Australia A next week in Lautoka.
