Hienghene was more determined: Rodu

Rewa Football coach Marika Rodu conceded his side's defeat, saying their Hienghene Sport opponents wanted the win more in their encounter,

The Delta Tigers were shut out 2-0 by the New Caledonians in their final match of the Oceania Football Confederation Champions League today.

Rodu was disappointed in his side's performance saying in the post-match interview he had expected more from his players.

“If we had managed the first half well we could have been in control of the second, but we knew the complexities of the game would not be easy,” Rodu said.

“Hats off to Hienghene, they showed more determination and were hungrier than us.”

“We were playing in isolation, and at the end, it really hurt us.

“But we can only take the learnings from this game, and we will do that.”
