Lightning win over the Thunderbirds

The Sunshine Coast Lightning defeated the Adelaide Thunderbirds 47-27 during their exhibition match of the PacificAus Sports Fast5 at the Vodafone Arena today.

A culmination of a week long learning program between Netball Australia and Netball Fiji, both the Australian based teams were mixed with Fiji Pearls players preparing for next year’s Netball World Cup

The Lightnings controlled and led throughout the contest racing to a 32-13 margin by halftime.

Lighting secured the third quarter 36-21 before finishing the contest with a strong 47-27 finish.

The Lightnings had the had the likes of Fiji Pearls players Ema Mualuvu, Unaisi Rauluni while Pearls captain Alisi Naqiri and Kalisi Tawake took to the court for the Thunderbirds.

Meanwhile in the first exhibition match, the Fiji Men's East team beat the Fiji Men's West team 29-24.
