Nadi beats Labasa, moves to third spot

In-form striker Siotame Kubu netted a brace as Nadi defeated Labasa 2-1 in Round 17 of the Digicel Premier League at Subrail Park today.

The win pushes the Jetsetters in third spot on the standing.

The Viliame Toma coached side has 29 points, equal with champions Lautoka, but have less goal difference.

The western giants have now gone 11 games in a row without conceding a loss.

Nadi was in control from the start with two quick goals from super boot Kubu securing them a strong 2-0 lead by halftime.

Labasa attempted a fight back in the second half but could not break the strong green wall.

The Babasiga Lions managed a lone goal through a successful penalty from veteran Christopher Wasasala.
