Nakoci in for RWC 7s prep

Fijiana 7s Alowesi Nakoci has returned the squad in preparation for next month’s Rugby World Cup Sevens.

The Olympic bronze medalist who had missed out on the Commonwealth Games, returned to the squad after returning from injury.

“Alowesi’s return is a welcome inclusion as we put in the final preparations towards the World Cup next month,” coach Saiasi Fuli told FijiLive.

“We have put the Commonwealth Games behind us, and we know that the World Cup will be a different story altogether.

“Hopefully we can put our processes in place and ensure we are in a good place come Cape Town.”

Fuli has recalled a 19 member strong squad to camp.

A final 13 member squad will be selected later this month.

The Rugby World Cup 7s will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from September 9-11.
