Strategies and playing style is vital: Lal

Digicel Fiji U19 Head Coach Ronil Lal says adapting the right strategies and one playing style is vital for the side ahead of its campaign at the OFC Championship in Tahiti next month.
Lal said while the team morale and spirit is very high, they are working on all aspects of the game with the current mixture of local and international players in the squad.
"The morale is very good and also very challenging and tough. I can see in the training, they give in all for playing tough and hard and I think that’s the spirit we need."
"We started six weeks ago. We have been working hard these past weeks. We have been working on what are the strategies, what are those styles, the system we need to use and the style we need to play. So we have been trying to work on that."
"I think we had a very good trial where we had so many overseas players and the local players and we tried to get our best. So they have gelled in well and we tried to do our selection according to position wise."
"So in that way we managed to get the best position and they've been doing very well. The boys are looking after each other, helping each other, and staying together now. They hardly moved out," Lal explained.
Fiji departs for New Zealand for two friendly matches against Auckland City Under 19 and New Zealand Under 19 before they arrive to Tahiti for the Championship.
