Fiji Schoolboys ready for challenge: Seru

Fiji Schoolboys Rugby League Captain Tomasi Seru says they are ready to face their bigger Australian opponents in an exhibition match in Suva tomorrow.
The Queen Victoria School head boy from Ketei Village in Totoya in Lau, said despite the odds, they are ready.
“Most of us have only recently come back to rugby league after representing our schools in the Deans competition, but rugby is still rugby no matter the code and we are ready to do our part,” Seru told FijiLive.
“We relish these chances because they don’t come often, who knows when we will play such big teams again, so in camp every player is eager to get on the field and play.”
Seru said he was happy with the oppurtunities given to schools rugby league to have visiting teams, and hoped to have more in the near future.
“It definitely is a good stepping stone, and builds experience for those players who look to build on rugby.
“I am confident that both sides will give a good showing tomorrow, and the players will make a lot of new friends after the game.”
The Schoolboys Challenge kicks off at Albert Park in Suva at 3pm.
