Bainimarama congratulates Jnr Bula Boys

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has congratulated the Digicel Junior Bula Boys sealing their spot at next year’s FIFA  U20 World Cup in Indonesia.   
 
While officiating at the 2022 Courts Inter District Championship in Suva last night, Bainimarama said the achievement speaks volumes to the drive and discipline of the players.
 
"It also speaks to our steady cultivation of talent at the grassroot."
 
"We know we have fertile ground in Fiji for football excellence. And we have made it our mission to transform sport into a more professional and profitable enterprise."
 
"For the benefit of players most of all."
 
He added the Government has invested in Fiji’s sporting infrastructure for the benefit of Fijian athletes locally and internationally.
 
"We have invested in our sporting infrastructure to make Fiji the beating heart of athletics in the Pacific."
 
"That vision is paying off not only in the form of higher premiums on our investments but in the quality of our Athletes."
 
"Hundreds of athletes, including our rugby and football players have been recogniesd at the highest stages responding companies around the world."
