Bati needs our support: Dakuitoga

Nadera Panthers Coach Vulaono Dakuitoga says the whole nation should standby and support all players selected in the final team for the Rugby League World Cup.

The Fiji Bati squad named today has a number of top players missing.

“We have a good strong Fiji Bati side this year, and a good mix of young and seasoned players,” Dakuitoga told FijiLive

“There has been a lot of chatter that, this player and that player did not make selection, and at this stage it doesn’t change anything.

Injury has ruled out key players including Jacob and Daniel Saifiti as well as Tariq Sims.

Robust centre Tane Milne has also missed out due to suspension.

“It happens, that some players miss out due to injuries, and other issues, but that is a chance for the other players selected to show case what they have.”

“We need to come together and support our Bati in this campaign.”

“We are sure that every player in the squad is not just filling in a spot and will show their worth on why they were chosen.”

Dakuitoga has urged Fijians not to take heed of keyboard warriors on social media.
