Bua wins opener, T/Naitasiri held

Bua kick started its campaign in the 2022 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) at Bidesi Park in Suva today with a 1-0 win over Lami.
 
Lami posed some early threats through Nimish Deo, Marcus Charitar and Shivam Sharma but Bua’s goalkeeper Benidito Caginiveisaqa denied them on a number of occasions.
 
After a goalless first half, Bua came out strong in the second half and scored their sole goal through electrifying midfielder Mohammed Zaid in the 54th minute.
 
In another match, Tailevu Naitasiri was held to a goal-less draw by Tavua.
 
Bua will meet Savusavu in its next match at 11am tomorrow while Tailevu Naitasiri will come up against Nadogo at 1pm.
