Nand disappointed with Nadroga's exit

Nadroga Coach Joseph Nand says it is disappointing to bow out of the 2022 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) after doing well in the earlier tournaments.

A disappointed looking Nand said his players simply just did not follow instructions in the second half of their match against Navua today which ended in a 2-2 draw.

"We were prepared very well mentally and physically for this game and we blew the lid."

"It was only three minutes left, instruction that we gave-I think players overreacted."

"We gave instructions to our players to make sure that we mark him but somehow or the other he could free and sneaerk the ball in so it's a very disappointing result."

"It's very, very important "that instructions are taken and followed."

The Member of Parliament said they will regroup and take this tournament as a lesson and come out strong in the next season.

"So I'm not putting my players down. It's a learning experience. Many of them are very young players and we will regroup and then focus on the next season."

"Navua started pressuring us so we got down with one player. They were very hungry for the winn to put that second goal in."

"So we gave the instruction to have one last man down to drop down because Dunn was really fast."

"Game was full of challenges and we will regroup and come back better next season," he added.
