We are ready for England, says Ravato

Fijiana XVs lock Akosita Ravato says they are ready to face England in the opening match of the Women’s Rugby World Cup on Saturday.

The 31-year-old said the players sacrificed a lot and went through all sorts of challenges for their first ever World Cup.

"I think the girls are gelling well in adapting to the weather because it's pretty cool here and raining. Girls settling in well in the hotel and adjusting to the food that we eat in here. And yes, we were ready for England this Saturday."

"Most of the girls have been through challenges and struggle in the three years that we've prepared together. Our expectation of them is that they're really going to bring the game knowing that they have a 25 record winning streak."

The Fijiana Drua star added that she has a lot of faith in the team and said her two sons are her biggest inspiration.

"Yes very much miss my two boys a lot but I feel that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me so I'm grateful to be here and yes they are my inspiration to finish on a high."

"They'd want to make it 26th so we expect a lot of physical and a lot of structure from them. But I know that I know and I believe and I have faith in my teammates that we can also come there being it, match their physicality and showcase our talent and the speed and everything that we've been training together for the past three years."

Fijiana vs England kicks off at 3.45pm at Eden Park in New Zealand on Saturday.
