We lacked the right spark: Swamy

Lautoka Coach Kamal Swamy says his team lacked the right spark in their 3-0 humiliating loss to Ba on Day 1 of the 2022 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva today.

A disappointed looking Swamy said they underestimated the young Ba brigade who posed a huge threat throughout the encounter.

"I think we did not perform up to expectation."

"We did not have the right spark in the team. We lacked that today."

"The players were forcing themselves a lot."

"I feel they were a bit down from the start of the game and did not settle well in the game."

"We lost position, we were playing very long balls in the first half and I think then considered faults, which ended up in the goals."

"Ba came in full force and dominated us on several occasions but we failed to respond to them."

"We did not expect such a performance from them."

"We need to go to the drawing board and look at what went wrong and then correct ourselves for the next game."

Viti Water Flows/ Hyperchem Pharmacy/All in one Builders Lautoka will face Labasa at 7pm tomorrow.
