Defending champion Makoi has marched into the quarterfinals of the 2017 Muslim Inter District Championship after registering two straight wins in its pool matches at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today. The Shakir Ali skippered side defeated Sabeto 1-0 and Rarawai by a similar score-line to top Pool 1 after day one and plays Valelevu in its final match tomorrow. Host Rewa has also booked its spot in the quarters after securing 6 points in its two matches. The Delta Tigers outclassed Varavu 3-0 in their opening match and overcame Cuvu 2-1 to lead Pool C. Nasinu also registered two wins in Pool D but has two matches to play as the pool has five teams. Pool matches of the Vodafone sponsored Fiji Muslim League 58th IDC will continue tomorrow and on Sunday morning and the quarterfinals will be played on Sunday afternoon.
