Fiji thumps HK in Singapore 7s opener

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team kicked off its campaign in Singapore on a high note today and thumped Hong Kong 40-0 in its opening match.

The Fijians dominated play from the opening kick off and led 19-0 at halftime with nippy playmaker Waisea Nacuqu getting a brace of tries while Nacanieli Labalaba scored one.

Mesulame Kunavula, Amenoni Nasilasila and Sevuloni Mocenacagi scored three more tries in the second half to wrap the big win.

Fiji faces Russia in its next match at 7.50pm and plays Canada in its final pool match at 12.06am tomorrow.
