Labasa registers third win

Labasa registered its third win of the Vodafone Premier League tonight at Subrail Park after beating Dreketi 2-0.

The hosts despite enjoying more possession, at times found things difficult against their neighbours who also displayed constructive football from time to time.

Midfielder Edwin Sahayam opened Labasa's account in the 40th minute from a free-kick.

The Babasiga Lions were reduced to 10 players after referee Salesh Chand flashed a red card to Nickel Chand for violent conduct.

Labasa led 1-0 at the break and managed to double its lead in the 58th minute through striker Christopher Wasasala.

With the result, Labasa now has 10 points after playing five matches and sits on top of the standings.
