FRU postpones local competitions

In view of the current path and the recent upgrade of Cyclone Ella from Category 1 to Category 2, the Fiji Rugby Union has decided to postponed all Skipper Cup and Vodafone Vanua Challenge matches scheduled for this Saturday.

FRU says the safety and wellbeing of rugby players and officials is their paramount priority and all matches will now be played on Saturday, May 20.

The Cyclone is expected to pass through the Fiji Islands tomorrow and Saturday and the FRU is urging the rugby fraternity  to prepare well to minimise any impacts of Cyclone Ella on their properties and families.
