Fijiana make three changes

The Telecom Fijiana 7s team to the final leg of the HSBC World Sevens Women’s Series in Clermont left our shores yesterday with three changes to the final 12.

Asinate Savu, Lavenia Tinai and debutant Lavena Cavuru have forced their way in and replace injured trio Miriama Naiobasali, Reijeli Daveua and Alowesi Nakoci.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula said that it has been a long season for them but they have managed to remain consistent.

“The girls have had a long season but have managed to remain consistent.  Currently we are 5th on the points table and our aim is to remain in the top 4 in order qualify for the Women’s 7s World Cup next year,” he said.

Fiji will meet host nation France, Australia and Spain in pool play this weekend.

TFL Fijiana- Rusila Nagasau, Priscilla Siata, Talica Vodo, Merewai Cumu, Asinate Savu, Vilisi Vakaloloma, Ana Maria Roqica (Captain), Lavena Cavuru, Viniana Riwai, Lavenia Tinai, Tima Ravisa, Ana Maria Naimasi.
