Raka scores as Clermont wins Top 14

Fijian youngster Alivereti Raka scored Clermont’s only try as they won their second-ever Top 14 title, defeating Toulon 22-16.

Fellow Fijian Josua Tuisova scored Toulon’s only try.

Clermont led 16-10 at the break thanks to Raka’s try and three penalties from the boot of Morgan Parra, with Toulon’s score coming from Tuisova.

In a tense second half, Parra traded penalties with first Anthony Belleau and then François Trinh-Duc as Clermont held on.

Flanker Peceli Yato also featured for Clermont while Manasa Saulo played for Toulon.
