Rewa wins Fiji FACT

Host Rewa defeated defending champion Nadi 1-0 to clinch the 2017 Vodafone Fiji FACT title at Ratu Cakobau Park today.

Defender Samuela Kautoga headed in the winner in the 31st minute after connecting well with a Madhavan Goundar free-kick.

He also won the Player of Day 4 and Player of the Tournament awards while goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau won the Golden Glove award.

Suva's Ravinesh Karan Singh won the Golden Boot after netting four goals in the tournament and Nadi youngster Afraz Ali walked away with the Find of the Tournament award.

The Delta Tigers have now won the title two times with their first being in 2011.

Rewa received $15000 for winning the tournament while Nadi received $4000 for reaching the final.
